Privacy Policy
This policy explains the data handled by the sorosoro AI cooking assistant ("the app") and its purposes.
Data the app handles
- Text you enter about meals and cooking, and your conversation history
- Photos taken with the camera or selected and sent
- Microphone audio sent to the Live assistant
- A random user ID issued by Firebase Anonymous Authentication
- Diagnostic information collected by Firebase Authentication, such as authentication errors
Purposes of use
Text, photos, and audio are used to generate AI responses about meals, recipes, and cooking steps. The anonymous user ID is used for secure API access, usage limits, and abuse prevention. Diagnostic information is used to maintain authentication quality and identify issues.
Sending data to external services
The app uses Google's Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, Cloud Functions, and the Gemini API. For regular consultations, your text and selected photos are sent to the Gemini API via Cloud Functions. For the Live assistant, after obtaining short-lived connection credentials, audio and attached photos are sent directly to the Gemini API.
Sent content is not used for advertising display or ad tracking. The Gemini API runs on a billed Google Cloud project, and sent content is not used to improve Google's models.
Association and retention
Text, photos, and audio may be associated with your anonymous user ID or connection credentials at the destination. Conversation history, in-progress cooking sessions, completion logs, and completion photos are stored on your device, not in our own database. Live audio is not saved to your device as recordings.
In the Gemini API, inputs and responses may be retained by Google for up to 55 days for safety and abuse monitoring. Session state needed for Live assistant reconnection may be retained for up to 24 hours. Firebase anonymous authentication user IDs are managed on Firebase.
Deletion and your choices
Conversations and completion logs can be deleted individually in the app. "Delete all device data" in the home screen menu removes conversation history, cooking sessions, completion logs, and saved photos from your device. For deletion requests about your anonymous authentication ID, please contact us below.
Safeguards and usage notes
Communication uses encrypted HTTPS, and API access uses Firebase anonymous authentication and App Check. The app does not ask for your name, address, or email address. Please don't include personal or confidential information in consultation text, photos, or audio.
Provider and contact
The app is provided by Wataru Muro, with information published on the official site of MYURO (incorporation in preparation). For questions about this policy or data handling, please email contact@myuro.net.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as features or laws change. Significant changes will be announced on this page or in the app.
